Imagine losing yourself in a completely immersive forgotten world hidden deep in an abandoned forest in Lincolnshire. Prepare yourself for the most surreal four day music festival – Lost Village. It's one of my favourites in the UK and perfect for fans of BoomTown Fair, Shambala and Secret Garden Party. It's the perfect way to end the summer with a bang for the bank holiday weekend and escape the cities for some fun in the countryside.

The festival welcomes a vibrant array of musicians and DJ sets that will keep you dancing long into the night with twisted stages, festival sets deep in the woods, hidden rooms and ghost trains. Line-ups include the likes of Arc De Soleil, Ben UFO, The Blessed Madonna, Bombay Bicycle Club, Horse Meat Disco, Maribou State, SBTRKT and many more. It's one of those festivals where you can't tell who is part of the festival entertainment and who is just a bit odd.

What is the vibe like at Lost Village?

Imagine a festival full of the loveliest bunch of Northerners you've ever met, where everyone instantly feels like a friend and everyone is there with the same intention and love of music. I absolutely loved the vibe of Lost Village, it felt so welcoming and fun as a festival, really well laid out and with great infrastructure including really clean toilets and good food options. It had a great mix of DJs and live music, plus talks, discussion panels and comedy, banquets, plus loads of areas to chill in the woods, join in arts and crafts, shop for festival attire and much more.

I've seen a quote in an article describing Lost Village as a "Michelin-star rave in a field" and honestly, I think they've hit the nail on the head. It really is reminiscent of a day-centric rave with lots to do and a lot of thought put into every detail. It's a tiny festival at just 18,000 people and I LOVE that about Lost Village – it creates such a sense of community and makes it easier to meet people. We kept seeing the same faces again and again which was so lovely throughout the weekend. "Those on the outside will never understand…" – and it's oh, so true.

Get Tickets For Lost Village

Lost Village 2024 tickets have now sold out but there are still resale tickets available for £330. They are expensive tickets, but honestly, when you see the festival and the line-up, you'll understand why. It is an expensive festival to put on due to the high level of production but that shines through the quality of the festival when compared to other larger events. If you fancy a crazy weekend of dancing in discarded airport cockpits, lounging in bumper cars and heading to the infamous arcade and bowling alley, Strike Alley, it's worth every penny!

Festival Fashion and Essentials for Lost Village

Lost Village is a playground when it comes to festival fashion so let your inner festival fairy go WILD. Anything goes and I had so much fun there walking around in some of my most out-there outfits. Lots of people dress fairly casual and then add glitter or accessories, there's a lot of party shirts, but then there are a lot of people who go all out – it's a great mix. Here's my festival essentials for Lost Village:

  1. Festival boots – I really recommend – even when it was a super hot weekend, some parts of the woods were really muddy so go prepared and don't wear white trainers like I saw some fools do! >> Shop my fave festival boots
  2. Festival hat – I had so many comments on my "sparkly captain" hat – including getting rinsed by Russell Kane in the comedy tent. They really stand out and if you get the goggles too – they're perfect for exploring the woods at night! >> Shop my fave festival hat
  3. A fabulous sparkly outfit! If you've ever dreamed of wearing something – this is the place to do it! Go skimpy, go out there, go crazy and have fun! >> Shop my fave sparkly festival outfit

SIM Cards in Lost Village

Don't you hate when you get crappy phone signal at a music festival and you can't get hold of your friends? It's so frustrating, but one hot tip I can give you for avoiding this issue is to get a SIM or an eSIM for the mobile phone provider who is sponsoring the festival. Or, if it's a smaller festival like Lost Village, just look up the best phone signal for the area where it is being held:

  1. Get a temporary SIM card which you just use for the weekend
  2. Get an eSIM with Airalo to use during the festival

eSIMs are super quick and easy to use, you can find out more about how to install and use them in this extensive guide:
