Boston Vlog Part 2: Chinatown, visiting Fenway Park & Boston in the fall

What a way to spend my last international trip of 2022. Flying business class with United Airlines from London Heathrow to Boston, Massachusetts, for a weekend of exploring the larges, most walkable city in the USA. [ad press trip] This trip was a press trip with United Airlines, Travel Up and the Boston Tourism Board. There was so much to cram in that I've split it across two vlogs – here's Part 1 - enjoy! From those beautiful fall colours at Boston Common and visiting Fenway Park – home of the Red Sox, to tasting the famous lobster rolls and fresh oysters the city is known for. We explored art, culture, heritage and history as we walked the streets of Boston, USA, and even took to the water for a "Duck Tour" around the harbour. If you've ever wanted to visit Boston – I've found the best things to do in Boston and have written a guide to the best 22, including tips on how to travel there and where to stay.Check out my blog post for a full itinerary and where we stayed: https://absolutelylucy.com/22-best-things-to-do-in-boston-usa/Don't forget to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE if you want to see more videos from me :-)For those who are new to this channel, I'm Lucy, a solo female travel blogger from the UK, who loved adventure travel, music festivals and vanlife. REMINDER: You don’t need a +1 (and here’s why!)Currently planning some epic solo trips for 2025 and it hit me how natural this is to me after 10 years of solo travel. But it wasn’t always this way! Before I hopped on a plane to the other side of the world alone, I’d never done anything by myself 😮 there had always been a boyfriend, my family, my friends. But what I realised from taking that trip is that I didn’t need a +1 to be safe, to be happy, or to be successful as a traveller! So if you’re on the fence about taking a solo trip this year, let this be your reminder that you’re enough, and you will smash it 💖 and if you need extra support, join @soloadventuregalsWho’s planning a solo trip in 2025?#solofemaletraveller #femaletraveller #girlstravellingsolo #girlstravelling #womenwhotravelsolo #womentravelsolo

⬇️ Here’s how to find this HIDDEN GEM IN PORTUGAL 😍One for my adventure-seekers, this hike isn’t for the faint of heart and many travellers don’t make it the whole way (or end up covered in mud!)🥾 Park at the road and start the hike - it’s around 30 mins down to the waterfall. I recommend wearing hiking boots because it is slippery and very muddy in places - please don’t attempt this in Converse like some unprepared folks did 🤣Follow the path, look for the markings on the trees and watch where you put your feet. Do this hike with someone (not a good one solo as no phone signal and v tricky in places)At the waterfall, leave your boots at the big rock and go barefoot up, some rock scrambling. You can actually climb up around the back of the rocks and almost reach the waterfall - it is VERY powerful so be careful and don’t actually climb up to where the water falls 😮For hot springs, as you climb up to the waterfall, they are tucked away to the right where some pools (brown with the sulphur & minerals) are warm and bubbling. 🫧We had the whole waterfall and hot springs to ourselves while we were there and this is an adventure that will live rent free in my brain 😍📍 Cascata Das Lombadas, AzoresFollow @absolutelylucy for hidden gems & adventure travel tips 😍What’s the best waterfall hike you’ve done?#waterfallhike #waterfallhikes #waterfallhunting #portugalnature #portugalplaces #portugalgems #azoresportugal #azoreslovers #azoresisland #iloveazores
✈️ I FOUND PARADISE (and it’s just 5 HOURS from London!)Skip Hawaii, the Maldives and Mauritius (I say as a Mauritian 😮) these destinations are STUNNING but they are also very popular. If you fancy something a little different where you can avoid the crowds, you need to visit the HAWAII OF EUROPE!I met just 2 UK tourists in 10 days on the Azores Islands, and nearby Madeira is just as spectacular and even easier to travel to! Amazing hiking, whale watching, waterfalls, outdoor adventures, wild swimming & hot springs and don’t get me started on the FOOD 😍Who’s visiting this summer?#portugaltrip #portugalpassion #portugalplaces #portugalgems #azoresportugal #azoresadventure #azoreslovers #madeiranowordsneeded #madeiraportugal #shorthaul
