Come skydiving with me to celebrate my 30th birthday! I promised myself I wouldn't turn 30 without completing a skydive – now I always dreamed it would happen in New Zealand part way through a working holiday visa. But sadly a pandemic happened and it wasn't meant to be. But, I'm never going to let anything stop me from achieving my dreams.So it might be two years later than expected, but I finally got to do the skydive of my dreams with UK Parachuting at Sibson Airfield near Wandsworth in Peterborough. We jumped from 13,000ft and travelled at a speed of 120mph through the air over one of the oldest drop zones in the country!I think you can tell from my reaction how much I enjoyed it and before I had even touched the ground I already knew I would be doing another. Skydiving in Peterborough – I finally turn 30 (Only 2 years late!)

What a way to spend my last international trip of 2022. Flying business class with United Airlines from London Heathrow to Boston, Massachusetts, for a weekend of exploring the larges, most walkable city in the USA. [ad press trip] This trip was a press trip with United Airlines, Travel Up and the Boston Tourism Board.From those beautiful fall colours at Boston Common and visiting Fenway Park – home of the Red Sox, to tasting the famous lobster rolls and fresh oysters the city is known for. We explored art, culture, heritage and history as we walked the streets of Boston, USA, and even took to the water for a "Duck Tour" around the harbour. Flying Business Class for a Weekend in Boston, USA

When everyone’s talking about the Costa del somewhere, but you discover a part of Spain’s wild, rugged coastline that hasn’t found its way to Instagram yet… 🌊 a d

This is Cabo Peñas Lighthouse which has sat high on the cliffs since 1852, offering sailors a glimmer of light to protect them from the rocky outcrops and powerful waves crashing against the cliffs.

If you’re visiting Asturias and Somiedo Natural Park, this is a great place to stop en route to the airport for scenic walks along Cabo de Peñas, Atlantic views and you can even visit the maritime museum 😍

Then I found Somiedo Natural Park 🗺️ 🇪🇸

Hidden in the mountains of Asturias, this protected natural park feels like one of Europe’s last truly wild landscapes.

No crowds. No queues. Just glacial valleys, wildflower meadows, crystal-clear streams and mountain views that stretch for miles.

🥾 The Ruta de Valle de Lago (PR-AS) is easily one of the most spectacular hikes I’ve ever done. This 12km hiking route is a moderate hike.

It’s one of those rare places that reminds you just how extraordinary and beautiful nature can be. If you also love to visit places that completely transform your perspective, and make you realise how tiny you really are… this is the spot!

If you’re looking to experience a side of Spain that most travellers never see, this is where I’d start 😍

After hours spent bear watching in the freezing mountains, nothing tasted better than Asturias on a plate 🐻😍 a d

We warmed up with steaming bowls of pote and fabada, sampled some of the region’s incredible cheeses (Cabrales was a standout), and washed it all down with local cider and red wine. The food here is hearty, rustic, and exactly what you want after a day in the cold spent scanning the mountainsides 🏔️

The bears were unforgettable. The meals that followed weren’t far behind. 🧀🥬🍷

If your idea of Spanish food is tapas, Asturias is the region to change that 😉
