This four-star hotel is full of history, first opening its doors to travellers in 1906 and still maintaining world class service to this day. The hotel was extensively renovated in 2009 and all rooms are equipped with air conditioning and offer beautiful lake views. Hotel Triglav also features the à la carte restaurant 1906 Bled with Slovene Nouvelle cuisine and one of Slovenia’s top chefs, a wine cellar, a piano bar and a fireplace lounge. They also offer a modern spa centre and Slovenian culinary workshops.

If you’re looking for a self-catering option for a budget hotel in Lake Bled, I highly recommend Apartment Ledrar. This 3-star guest house is great if you have a jam-packed schedule of activities or are planning a hiking trip or group trip and would benefit from preparing your own meals. I scored a great deal on this guest house using my Booking.com Genius discounts – I booked a penthouse apartment which was huge and came with a kitchen, lounge, 3 balconies and a spa bath, for the same price as a basic studio!
Its set just a 5-minute walk from Lake Bled along a quiet road and there’s lots of free parking on-site so it’s great if you’ve hired a car. The building has a private entrance and soundproofing so it’s really peaceful. The terraces and balconies have mountain and garden views.

Unfortunately Rikli Balance Hotel was fully booked when I visited Lake Bled, but it remains high on my list of places I would love to stay – I can see why it is so popular. Set in the heart of Bled, the hotel is set higher and boasts panoramic views of Lake Bled, the castle and the Julian Alps. This Sava Hotels & Resorts property exudes relaxation and tranquility, from the the modern spa centre featuring both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, while the Živa Wellness Centre provides saunas, steam baths, hot tubs, and a wide range of wellness treatments.
The modern and sleek design of the hotel carries through to the rooms, which are all air conditioned and come with a balcony. The Veranda Restaurant, with its panoramic terrace, offers selected local cuisine from Gorenjska Region and International a la carte dishes. Guests can relax at the hotel’s aperitif bar over a coffee or a cocktail.

If you’re looking for world-class service and a taste of the celebrity treatment, look no further than Grand Hotel Toplice. One of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, the luxury hotel is located on the shores of Lake Bled with direct views across to Bled Castle.
