Planning a visit to Lake Bled but trying to stick to your budget? Travel costs can quickly add up, especially if you’re travelling in summer or peak seasons. Whether you’re travelling solo or with a partner or friend, staying in backpacker hostels in Lake Bled could be a great way to travel on a budget while meeting lots of other travellers.

Hostels are cheaper than hotels, which is a great way to save money, especially if you’re planning a busy or action-packed trip where you won’t be in the room much anyway. Choosing to stay in a hostel also gives you access to a much more sociable accommodation full of like-minded travellers with communal areas to hang out, work and make friends. They often also come with kitchen access so you can prepare your own meals which helps to keep costs even lower. Many hostels in Lake Bled also offer tours, activities and travel planning advice for the area.

If you’re a solo traveller, I really recommend staying in hostels. I’ve stayed in hostels all over the world and had some amazing experiences – often they get a bad rep but it’s really not justified. There’s a type of hostel to suit every kind of traveller, so don’t be put off by the idea of infamous party hostels – they’re not all like that.
