I'm Lucy – a multi award-winning solo travel expert and adventure travel creator. I'm the travel blogger behind Absolutely Lucy and proud winner of Content Creator of the Year at the TravMedia Awards 2026.

My mission is simple: to empower women to feel safe, confident and inspired to explore the world solo – while helping travel brands connect authentically with modern travellers.

My passion lies in showcasing off-the-beaten-path destinations, alternative ways to experience popular places, and slow, immersive travel that creates real emotional connections. If there's an adventure to be found, I'm ready to tell its story – and I bring 20 years experience of marketing, journalism and content creation, to every single one.

As an Anglo-Mauritian solo traveller, representation isn't an add-on to my work – it's part of the lens I tell every story through. I'm passionate about widening who adventure travel is imagined for, and who gets to tell its stories.

I also built the community to match the message: Solo Adventure Gals, a 2,500-strong space empowering women to travel solo safely and confidently, alongside Her-story, my ongoing series spotlighting forgotten women-led histories through destinations worldwide.
