My favourite continent by far – Asia is a land that spells freedom for me. It was the first place I ever travelled solo. The first step into my new life. I’ve been travelling all my life, but Asia was a place that captivated me like nowhere else had before.
It was rich in culture, full of vibrant colours, spirituality, incredible nature and a gentle, kind people who welcomed me with open arms. I started by taking the classic backpacker Indo-China route of South East Asia. Travelling across Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. The five months I spent travelling this region blew my mind. It only served to fuel my love of travel even more.
Later, I returned to Asia to travel places like Indonesia and Sri Lanka. And I returned to Thailand to visit parts I hadn’t yet seen. I actually love Thailand so much that I’ve been four times on three separate trips over the last few years!
Sri Lanka was like travelling in times gone past. It was like stepping foot in Asia over 10 years ago before tourism took over. It’s authentic and pure in a way that South East Asia has lost. This is where it’s magic lies and why it will always be one of my favourite places I have ever travelled.
Living my best Bali babe life
Bali was a beautiful experience of travelling with one of my best friends, from exploring Ubud and Gili T where we swam with sea turtles. We explored waterfalls, partied in Seminyak and visited stunning temples. It was a month I won’t forget in a hurry and I would love to revisit Indonesia and explore more of the islands I didn’t get the chance to see.
Asia holds so many memories and was the start of so many amazing friendships that are still a huge part of my life today. This section has guides on everywhere I visited and much more.
