After a busy weekend exploring my new home with Come To Hamburg, we were about ready for a quiet Sunday afternoon and how better to spend it than at the Vinoble Day Spa? We were so excited to be invited along to visit the Steigenberger Hotel Treudelberg Hamburg for an afternoon of lovely spa treatments and enjoying the amazing facilities at the country club. Set just  to the north of the city, the hotel puts the focus on enjoying the idyllic surroundings by getting out on the golf course and enjoying the fresh air. Or, for those who prefer something more relaxing, the spa and wellness facilities are superb with a sauna, gym and swimming pool onsite, as well as the spa.A relaxing visit to the Vinoble Day Spa with #ComeToHamburg | GermanyWe started our afternoon with a warm welcome and a cup of tea in the restaurant of the hotel, which boasted a fantastic menu. Overlooking the golf course, we slipped into the first stages of relaxation as we watched the geese by the lake, and the golfers who had braved the cold. Taking a stroll through the underground passage between the main hotel and the spa, you soon realise the sheer size of the hotel grounds and the beauty of the hotel design. The Vinoble Day Spa was the height of relaxation from the moment we walked in the door, after changing into our white robes and slippers, we were taken off for our treatments and instructed to "sit back and enjoy!"A relaxing visit to the Vinoble Day Spa with #ComeToHamburg | GermanyMy first treatment was the Vinoble Classic Facial which promised a fresh complexion in an instant. Something I was much in need of after too many late nights started to make my skin look just as exhausted as I was. Using all the Vinoble-brand products, my beauty therapist told me these were all completely natural and free of parabens and other nasties. As someone who has very sensitive skin, I was very keen on keeping the treatment as natural and the products as pure as possible, plus they all smell amazing! Using extracted active ingredients from domestic grapes and vines, the products protect your skin and give it a natural glow. She used finely ground grape seeds and walnut shells to gently exfoliate my skin, followed by a dreamy face massage that almost sent me to sleep! By the end of the treatment, I was so relaxed I could barely climb out of the chair, and my skin looked and felt completely revitalised. The 50 minute treatment costs 69 euros.A relaxing visit to the Vinoble Day Spa with #ComeToHamburg | GermanyNext up was the treatment I had been waiting to see in action - the Vinoble Barrique Wine Bath. Yes, that's right, I had a wine bath - basically a dream for someone who loves wine as much as I do. This shorter 25 minute treatment is a moisturising bath in the hydro massage bathtub which leaves your skin with a feeling of pure silky smoothness and a captivating scent. The wine leaf extract act as an antioxidant and nourishes the walls of your blood vessels. After such a lovely facial, this was a perfect opportunity to lie back in the bath with a glass of water and to enjoy the hydro massage function on my aching limbs. It was heavenly and for 30 euros is great value, although I'm not sure I could do the full 30 minutes again as I did get rather hot towards the end.A relaxing visit to the Vinoble Day Spa with #ComeToHamburg | GermanyAfter I'd dried off, we headed over to the fitness centre where there was a gym, pool and sauna waiting for us to while away the rest of the afternoon. I didn't visit the gym, but the pool and sauna area was lovely and a great place to spend a rainy Sunday. Visiting the sauna was definitely a learning curve, after walking straight into a very naked elderly German man - note to self, German saunas are a lot more naked than English ones! Definitely one of my funniest German experiences yet as I tried to hide my shock and avert my eyes in a typically British way. On the whole, a really lovely afternoon and one that was much needed after a stressful few weeks. A huge thanks to the lovely staff for hosting us.
