If you’re travelling somewhere hot, then you need to be prepared for beach life when it hits you. I know many people that have a really hard time going to the beach, as they don’t know what to wear. If you’re comfortable in a bikini, then that’s great. But, what do you wear to and from the beach, and what if you’re not comfortable in one.
Don’t worry, dressing for the beach just got a lot easier with these tips:
Wear A Loose Dress
You don’t really want to walk around in a bikini when you’re not at the beach. Wearing the top is probably where you draw the line, but walking around in a full bikini is a bit much. So, you can cover yourself to and from the beach with a loose dress. Something very light and loose is perfect as it fits over your swimwear and can easily be taken off once you arrive. Or, you can keep it on if you’re not comfortable showing off your body, and you’ll still be extremely comfortable.
Don’t Forget Your Footwear
Wearing appropriate footwear is so important when going to the beach. The absolute last thing you want is a shoe full of sand after a beach visit. It will stay in that shoe for months, and you’ll still find pieces of sand around your house and in your car for ages. Truthfully, flip flops or sandals are the perfect beachwear. They’re easy to slide on and off, and so much easier to clean too. There’s no worry of getting sand everywhere, just wash them off with water when you get home!
Consider Different Swimwear Options
Bikinis aren’t the only thing you can wear under your clothes to the beach. If you don’t like wearing one, then that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on playing in the sea or catching a good tan. Instead, think about some different swimwear options. A swimsuit is a good idea if you’re looking to cover up more. There are some really stylish variations these days too, they’re not as old-fashioned as they once were.
Always Wear A Hat
I’m not going to lie, I’d hardly call myself a hat person. Some people look great in hats, some people don’t. Regardless, you need to bring one along wherever you go to the beach and wear it too. In fact, this piece of fashion advice applies to anyone travelling anywhere hot. A hat protects your head from the sun, stopping you from getting heat stroke and ruining your trip. Plus, you can get some in really cool and pretty designs, which is always a bonus.
After viewing these tips, you should know how to dress for the beach. Think about the different options at your disposal – there’s more to life than skimpy bikinis! If you have a beach day on the horizon in your near future, then I’m unbelievably jealous of you. Hopefully, these tips help and feel free to comment with any of your own suggestions.
